Dr. Maria Young graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL after earning a bachelors degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. She holds post-graduate certifications from the American Board of Sports Physicians®  and is full body certified in Active Release Techniques. Dr. Young has had the privilege of working with patients suffering from complex spinal pain syndromes, including pre and post surgical cases; she has received a Post-Surgical Spine Rehabilitation Certification through the American Chiropractic Board of Rehabilitation . She has also completed parts A and B of The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT), an internationally acclaimed method of assessment and treatment for spinal and extremity pain. Dr. Young has also taught continuing education in active rehabilitation for the Florida Chiropractic Association National Convention.


Dr. Young’s extensive education and experience with sports injuries result in a safe and quick return to competition for athletes of all levels. She is experienced in working with multitudes of NFL, MLB, Olympic, Paralympic, professional and collegiate athletes. She describes herself as patient-centered and outcome-based with a passion for human movement and biomechanics. Dr. Young is an advocate for her patients and has the unique background to tailor a treatment plan to her patient’s specific needs.
